The board of directors will meet on Monday, August 10th and would like an update to share at that meeting. Board member Sam Maki has agreed to bring us correspondence from this committee to the board, but we’re looking to you all to make the decisions about how NWIABKA’s presence at the fair unfolds this year.
I imagine you’ll discuss how to handle pricing, quantity and product line up, shifts, considerations for the observation hive, handling the money, gate tickets, booth set up, and anything else I’ve inevitably missed. I’ve attached last year’s pricing as a point of reference.
Below is the motion approved by the board back in February to increase seller fees to 20% in order to help cover fair expenses. You’ll also want to be in touch with Steve Lende as he plans to create a new sign for our booth.
Review of the Clay County Fair(CCF) expenses and seller fees resulted in the 10-12% commission being raised to 20% as fair expenses, insurance, gate tickets, etc have greatly increased. Steve also will design a new poster for the CCF honey booth with hopes of increasing registration for old and new members in a timely fashion. Jean moved and Tim 2nd Carried
